Perfect...?

"No one can say what she is implying...not even her or her daughter. Why do these people think they are so "holy perfect..."?"

This was my reaction to a post on my friends face book page. The comment read:

"and some, just put it all in the Lords hands and live the peace and joy He blesses them with."

A response to a post stating that many wear a smile mask not to be fake but to hide pain...disappointment...shame...anger. This person was insinuating that you give it all to God and you don't need the mask. Almost..ok...judging someone who feels they need to wear the smiley mask when around others. Truthfully...it is sometimes much easier to wear the mask than trying to explain to other people who just may not get it...yes give it to God but we are human..

Even Jesus...while on the cross felt pain... "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me..?" He was quoting the Psalms but that doesn't mean He didn't feel abandoned and that God had turned His back... Was Jesus sinning because He knew God, the Father, was always with Him but at this moment in time He seemed to doubt?

If Jesus was wholly Divine and wholly human...if Jesus doubted and cried at times...does that make Him flawed. If these people. "got it right" and are so perfect...then they are superior to Jesus because they never doubt or question.

Jesus even asked if "if this cup could be taken away please do it." He did also say not my will but yours. But because He said the thing about the cup...does that make Him sinful because He asked for a way out if possible.

And if that is how the perfect think then Jesus was not the spotless Lamb of God and just a sinful man. And at this point Jesus is not the savior because He was sinful and not the sinless taking on sin for the world...

So are they waiting for the real Messiah and if they are they are worshipping a demi God and not the Son of God...God incarnate...

If people really believe that they are perfect...then I believe they are Godless. Think about it...God's word says"all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." If they truly believe that they "got this" then they are believing the godless myth that they will never doubt or do wrong because they"always" give it to God and live in perfect peace and harmony...nirvana...

So are they saying they never fall short. If so...in a sense...they are saying God's Word is incorrect and they are correct... They walk a very fine line...much like the Pharisee and hypocrites of Jesus' day...

There are times in our lives that we struggle...for what ever reason. And there are times that we wear the "smiley face" mask...not because we don't believe or trust God has "got this" but because we are human. I think it is better to wear a smiley mask to hide pain than a religious mask to hide pride and judgement...

Just sayin...
